This is the flute we recommend to everyone starting out, and it's our most-loved flute. Even if you've never played an instrument, you can get a clear, beautiful note out of it within minutes. No lessons, no reading music. Just breathe, cover the holes, and let it sing.

The key of A is small and comfortable for most hands, with finger holes that sit close together so you can cover them without straining. It's also the most common key in flute circles and play-along recordings, so you'll fit right in wherever your music takes you.

Choose your finish

BURNT
Each Burnt flute is flame-finished by hand. The fire darkens the surface to rich shades of deep chocolate, espresso and smoky black, while the grain glows through in warm amber and gold highlights. Bold, earthy and dramatic.

NATURAL
The Natural flute shows off the wood just as it is: warm honey, soft amber and reddish-brown tones, with the grain running in lighter and darker streaks. Natural cedar slowly deepens and richens in color as it ages and is played.
